“The big transformational idea that comes out of this book that changed everything for me was this idea that your mind is meant for having ideas and not holding them.”  ~ Elise Enriquez…about David Allen’s Getting Things Done.

With summer coming, there are a lot of summer reading lists out there and they're usually all about beach reads. I definitely love a good beach read - I love a good novel. Especially a thriller or something that has outstanding dialog.

So if you are looking for a good piece of escapism, I know that Entertainment Weekly and the New York Times have great lists for summer reads.

However, if you're looking to mix in some personal growth over the next couple of months, this episode will be of particular interest to you. I share with you the 7 personal growth books that changed my life.

Something you need to know about me that is that I am not somebody who reads every personal growth book out there. Sometimes I see people that post about how many books they read every year. To me, though, taking the time to internalize and implement the things I learn from a personal growth book is more important than reading a profusion of them.

I've found that it takes time for changes to happen, so hopping from idea to idea from the new book you picked up right after you finished your last book isn't always helpful.

Here are the 7 books that have changed my life the most, in the chronological order that I was introduced to them:
