“I believe that we can be productive all the time.” ~ Elise Enriquez

Are you ready to be a rebel in my productivity revolution?

In this episode, I talk about productivity as I view it in my world.

There’s a common misconception about productivity that I really want to shine a light on.

You see there can be a lot of things that we want to get done in the world and in our lives that are really specific; things that have deadlines, milestones and goals that we want to accomplish.

Then there are subtler things that aren't as easy to measure, and are just as important if not more important than the goals that we can write down on a piece of paper. For example a parent being present and having their child see them being present at their sporting event.

“In my world being productive means that you are moving forward what matters most while still being present to the people, experiences, and opportunities around you.” ~ Elise Enriquez.

When we frame the conversation of productivity around getting things done, it can create a lot of shame because you will never be done with your list —there will always be things that you could be doing. So, if your measurement of productivity is based on how many things you check off a list, you will probably struggle to feel satisfied and fulfilled in your life.

I expounded on my definition of productivity by breaking into two parts:
1 - Moving forward what matters most
2 - Being present with your people, being open to new opportunities, and being present with the experiences that are important to you.

When productivity is done well, it means you have systems that support the progress you want to make AND they support you in being present in your life...so you can actually experience what's happening around you.
