006: MYTH: I don't have enough time

Season #1

“Just because you can do anything doesn't mean you can do everything. Taking on the attitude of being able to do anything can lead to stacking your plate too full. And soon, you have too much to do, and you don't have enough time.” - Elise Enriquez

Welcome to the Productivity Breakthrough Podcast with Elise Enriquez. Today I tackle another productivity myth, “I have too much to do and not enough time to do it.” This limiting belief is such a tricky one because it's definitely not a helpful thought, but it happens to be true. Let’s dive into why you shouldn’t do everything, even if you can do anything.

Key Quotes:

“If ‘I don't have enough time,’ Is the myth, then the truth that's more helpful is that anxiety comes from not knowing what's not getting done.” - Elise Enriquez

“You have to get it all into one place, into a system. I call mine my Bonus Brain, but it can just be a list on a piece of paper or in a spreadsheet. So that way you can see what you truly have on your plate, how much time you have, you can see all the commitments, all the projects. Then you can consciously and intentionally decide how to allocate your time and you can prioritize what matters most to you right now.” - Elise Enriquez
